OUR MISSION
The mission of the Amputée Coalition of Canada (ACC) is to lend support to individuals who have undergone limb loss by:
* Uniting individuals with limb loss through various programs, including a national peer network;
* Providing information to those who have experienced limb loss, their families, as well as the general public;
* Promoting the development of support groups, as well as encouraging contact between regional support groups.
PROGRAMS
We're Here to Help!
The mission of the Amputee Coalition of Canada (ACC) is to provide support to individuals who have undergone limb loss. The ACC achieves this goal through the following programs and activities.
a-Peer Visitor Program
The focus of this program is to create a National Peer Visitor Network, which includes regional peer training, matching new amputees with peers, and post visit follow-ups.
b-Support Groups
c-PALS Program (Promoting Amputee Life Skills)
We are aiming to implement this program in Canada in the near future, with the collaboration of John Hopkins University and the Amputee Coalition of America.
